Humanizing Blockchain Technology w/Karsen Daily | S1 E11
On this episode of Rehash we’re talking with artist, witer, and prolific shitposter, Karsen Daily. Known for her NFT collections 27 Times and NFT Affirmations, Karsen first got involved in web3 when her former employer, Superplastic, dropped an NFT collection on Nifty Gateway. With a background in writing, marketing, and brand development, and an affinity for art and pop culture, Karsen quickly found herself falling down the web3 rabbit hole.
After spending some time in the space, Karsen left Superplastic and jumped into web3 full-time. She realized the potential that blockchain and NFTs held for writers and designers to make a living from their creative work without having to use their skills simply for marketing purposes.
Over the course of our conversation, we talk about Karsen’s artwork, NFTs, the significance of digital identities and communities, how marketing and brand work is different in web3, and how we can build more humanity into blockchain technology. We also meet Karsen’s dog, Pearl!
